Host China trounced the Czechs 9-2 to claim their second win in a row at the "Good Luck Beijing" 2007 International Baseball Tournament today.

China's head coach James Lefebver from the United States said after the match that: "We didn't play well in the first five innings and missed many chances. But we kept on base running later and finally won the game. I'm proud of my players."

In yesterday's game, China also gained an easy win beating France 5-1, while Japan clinched the two victories both by small margins, upsetting the Czechs 3-2 and France 4-3 respectively.

Lefebver said China won't belittle their next rival as "Japan is a great team. Their players are young and strong and we have to be well prepared."

"The Japanese pitchers are competitive and so are we; They are good at defense and so are we; They hope to score and we hope to score more," he said, smiling.

Explaining the reason why China had a high score today, Lefebver joked that "Yesterday's game was live broadcasted by CCTV and we were nervous about it."
