The Czech team clinched its first victory of the "Good Luck Beijing" 2007 International Baseball Tournament today by beating France 5-1 at the Wukesong Baseball Field.

"We feel very happy winning the game. The scores were close in the first five innings and France hit beautifully. We took the lead thanks to their turnovers later." Bichard Kania, head coach of the Czech team, commented after the match.

Kania also praised the Wukesong field, noting that "The equipment and services here are wonderful and it's an honor to play on such a beautiful pitch. I hope we can play better here next year."
