China thrashed Czech 13-1 in a 7-inning semi to qualify for the final of the "Good Luck Beijing" 2007 International Baseball Tournament at west Beijing's Wukesong Baseball this evening.
"It's my honor to comment on the match with a huge cushion. We underestimated China before and they did well both in attack and defense. We had too many turnovers and it caused our defeat," said Bichard Kania, head coach of the Czech team.
He also noted that: "Anything could happen on the field as we were lucky in the 6-1 win over France, while this time luck was not with us."
Speaking of the fact that baseball will not be on the program for 2012 Olympic Games, Kania said he felt regretful about it and hoped more people would do something to help the sport come back to the Olympics. To achieve this goal, "Of course we should play better and better." he said. |
