(BEIJING, March 12) -- An official home website for the ’Good Luck Beijing’ sport events (www.goodluckbeijing.com.cn) has been launched recently. Through the website, users will get the updated event news in due time and various related information.

The websites of individual sport events schemed to kick off ahead of the Beijing Olympic Games will be launched later.

The ’Good Luck Beijing’ series events, consisting of 42 individual sport events, serve as a preview and a rehearsal for the upcoming 2008 Olympic Games as well as a run-in period for the detailed preparatory work on Olympic venues, technical systems, plans and schedules, operation standards, security and support capabilities during the Olympic Games.

In accordance with the requirements of the relevant international sports federations and tournament organizing committees, each event will have its own independent official website, with an international domain name.

Last January, the official website of the 2007 FISA World Rowing Junior Championships (www.2007rowing.org.cn) had opened for use .

Users can directly access the websites of those individual sport events from home website without experiencing any inconvenience, as all the websites share the same structure, style and format. In addition, the home website will also provide more functions of user service and public information so as to better serve ’Good Luck Beijing’ series events.

The official website for the ’Good Luck Beijing’ series events is created and managed by the Official Website of the Chinese Olympic Committee (COC).
